Can I put it on YouTube later?
Yes. It's your show. Leave it up here for the download crowd or take it down, your call.
Who owns the rights?
You. We never ask for exclusivity or a licence beyond showing the file to people who paid for it.
Do I need a company or VAT number?
You sell through your own Stripe account, so sales tax or VAT works the way it does for your tickets and merch. We don't act as merchant of record.
What about piracy?
Downloads are plain mp4 files without DRM. We've sold 20,000+ shows this way. Fans who pay don't tend to share, and the ones who'd pirate weren't going to pay.
How do refunds work?
We handle refunds on a case-by-case basis. Typically we refund, but stream/download activity is taken into consideration.
Can I add captions or subtitles?
Yes. Upload an SRT or VTT file in any language. Auto-captioning is coming.
Do I have to use the storefront page?
No. Share the storefront if you want or bypass it with a direct checkout link if you just want fans to pay and play.
Can I bundle shows or offer discount codes?
Discount codes work at checkout. Write to us for bundles and we'll set them up for you.
When do I get paid?
Stripe Connect pays out daily, weekly or monthly — your choice. Most comics see money in their bank within two business days.
